Just finished watching Brighton Rock, a movie based on a Graham Greene novel. The lovely Helen Mirren plays a starring role. Set in 1964 with a bit of Quadrophenia thrown in a very enjoyable film.

I went to the last X-Men as well, I never watched X-Men before this, and is that me or is it different of the others X-Men ? Indeed I didn't have this vision about the X-Men serie.
Sorry for the delay, mate... it was different. The other three were much more action, but it is in keeping with the tone of the comics. The central theme has always been how we respond when others treat us as less than human, which this film did, just not in cracking fashion like the previous ones.
Johnson, the final film comes out and one day later you stop it being your avatar! You don't have to make it all finishing quite so dramatic! (Admittedly I haven't been to the cinema to watch it yet!)
Watched 'Four Lions' last night. Very good and very dark comedy!
One of my favourite films of all time. Funny, but also quite poignant.
We went to the first showing at a little independent cinema down my way as the big cinemas wouldn't show it in case it offended anyone. At the end it got two rounds of applause. Brills.

I went to HP7 this afternoon and I'm so sad that it's all over, for good, that there won't be any other. You become attached to the characters, it is as if you lived with them at Hogwarts...
I've not been disappointed at all, I really enjoyed it.
I went to see it yesterday aswell. Loved it, thought it was really well done.
I didn't feel too emotional about it all ending because for me it all already ended when I finished reading the books, it's been a couple of years since then now so i've sort of come to terms with it, but the film certainly gave itself a good send-off.
Some people were complaining they weren't 100% faithful to the books but I thought they were definitely close enough. Nothing changed enough that I think I would even notice without rereading to check!
Anyone watch it in 3D? I went for 2D because at the time i went to the cinema I would've had to wait around for an extra hour to see 3D. But I saw the 6th one in 3D and they only made like one or two scenes 3D, the rest was just the same, bit of a waste of money. Anyone see if this one was done any better? While I was in the film I remember thinking certain scenes would have looked ace in 3D, like all the stuff in Gringotts and all the fighting at the end obviously.

I watched it in 3D (more than once) and really enjoyed it. Loved the books and the movies. The only dissapointment was everyone who read the books wasn't prepared for the Dark Lords demise when it happened. Belatrix got a bigger cheer when she met her end.
All in all the best movie I have seen this year ***** 5 stars
