I bought a can of American Cream Soda today for probably the first time in 30 or so years and it was delicious.
It got me thinking about the food or drink that you only ever had when you were a kid or maybe they don't make anymore.
I'll start with the above drink, Texan bars, Spanish, Parma Violets and Bazooka Joe bubble gum...

The missus and I were talking about that American Cream Soda only yesterday - we used to get big bottles of it from Corona. I bet it's disgusting now!
I bought her some Parma Violets a year or two back and she was really pleased. So pleased that they remain unopened!

Anyone remember the ice cream in a plastic cone that had bubble gum at the bottom?

Roncheros crisps - sort of barbecue corn snack. I haven't seen them for ages.
Jacob's club biscuits - the plain ones with real chocolate that you can't get now.
Anyone remember the fizzy dip things that had 2 separate compartments with different flavours in, and a "Swizzlestick" to dip? Haven't seen them for a while.
For the Aussies on here, can you still get Milo bars?
Used to have them all the time when I was living in Perth.

Was asking at work yesterday and they came up with - Alpine pop, Pacers (like a minty Opal Fruit??), Vice Versas, Spangles. Does anyone remember Tab cola or 1 Cal? these were the first sugar free fizzy frinks and they were disgusting.
Tonight, again for the first time in many a year, I'm having fish fingers...I've told the young 'uns it's a nostalga thing but they think I'm skint
18LL - Parma Violets are made about 10 miles from here
53 - Funny Face lollies - remember them well. The features were chocolate?

Back when i was a vegetarian i used to love toffee feasts! The toffee version of this (it replaced the choc in the middle with a thick gooey toffee sauce and toffee ice cream mmmmmm!
That was until my dad kindly informed me they was not suitable for vegy's due to having gelatin in them. Anyway i never ate one again as they vanished b4 i started eating meat

Vimto cordial, lager and lime soft drinks, polo mints and yorkie bars. Pear drops, everton mints and bullseyes, minstrels probably most missed though.
They are the only thing I look for in UK 'lolly' shops in Aus.
I still find curly wulry's, marathon are now snickers, and ice cream with chewing gum in them is still available.....swapsy's anyone???
