Out for 6-8 weeks according to the report...
I don't like to be pessimistic, but this is quite worrying with Max and Somma banned. Forces pretty much SG to rethink his favoured two striker system. Thank god there's still plenty of pre-season fixtures to go! Bring on the 4-5-1/4-3-3! We're gonna get all ''Spainy''!

I'm glad I gave you a laugh with that statement, and I understand where you are coming from, but I 'm just going to play devils advocate here and make a few points on Kandol.

- when he played last year he scored as regularly as anyone given his time on the pitch.
- unlike other strikers on the books he has played well in the championship in a struggling Charlton side 2 years ago, albeit on a loan spell. He also had a good spell at Millwall were he scored regularly when given a run in the side
- He really let himself down with his discipline a few times last year, but was this any worse than what Gradel did on the last day?
- We already have him on our books, which means Ken doesn't have to pay for him.
- After seeing him on Soccer AM crossbar challenge I think he would be good fun to go for a pint with!

Just a few thoughts. As we say its all about opinions here!

didn't have too much time on the pitch at Norwich IIRC, made an impact I guess, but that was about all!!

Becchio up front on his tod with Snoddy playing behind him.

Kandol is not the answer because he is unstable, throwing money around to buy a new forward is stupid for potentially a small window of the season.

United boss Simon Grayson has moved to clarify suggestions that striker Billy Paynter is facing a lengthy lay-off.
The summer signing missed the games against Bury and Hartlepool amid suggestions that he has fractured his shin.
"Contrary to the different reports I've heard, Billy has not broken one or both his legs," said the boss.
"He took a kick on the shin in Slovakia and he has missed the games as a precaution.
"It's something we're assessing on an ongoing basis and we'll see how things go."
The former Swindon striker picked up the knock during the 1-0 win against MFK Kosice when he scored his first goal for the club.
