Saturday 16 October
Bruce will not be available so I would bring in Crowe at RB & keep the rest of the defence that finished at Ipswich.
Faye did enough good work to retain his midfield place in front of the back 4 & I would drop either Howson or Kilkenny.
I believe our best games this season have come about when we have played 2 up front & Somme would be my first choice with Becchio or Watt.
Apart form his goal Snoddy was only average against Ipswich but he is a match winner & when he is on form he is virtually unplayable so for that reason I would play him.
Tricking game this, I do think Boro are in a false position & they will find their feet at some point but hopefully not on Saturday.

Going up to this one. Really looking forward to it. Saying that, the last away game I went to was Barnsley so maybe I shouldn't be so optimistic.
Not too sure about squad due to injuries but probably go for.
Brown (don't think Kasper will be fit)
Connolly (if fit)
Naylor
Collins (would prefer Bromby but once again not sure if fit)
McCartney
Snoddy
Faye
Howson
Sam
Somma
Watt
Usual suspects for subs. Although, if I had my way Gradel should be left out of the squad alltogether as a kick up the arse to start looking up and passing to a team mate.

Yep, pretty much in agreement with that selection & your assessment of Gradel but I would not risk any player who is not 100% fit which will probably mean Hughes or Crowe for Connolly.

First of all, good luck to you guys from this Boro fan!
Secondly, please don't brush everyone in Red Faction as idiots. We both, like most clubs, have our fair share of idiots. I'm hoping its not like World War 3 with what happened with Boro-Newcastle last season. Could do with less of that.
Being a Boro fan, I don't get too see big crowds much and neither do a lot of Boro fans these days Lol!
Almost an old school Yorkshire type of derby haha !

Fair play to you Dave for coming on here & not being a typical WUM.
We are happy to give anyone an airing on this site but step out of line & your a gonna!
Anyway onto the serious stuff, what sort of crowd are you expecting on Saturday?
I understand we sold out our allocation of around 4k weeks ago.
I can remember the days when we played Boro in Yorkshire derbies at Ayresome Park & dashing back after the game to get the first orders in at the Three Horse Shoes in Boroubridge.
I can also recall Yorkshire Cricket playing matches at Middlesbrough before the boundary changes.
Any advice on which pubs we can frequent pre match?

I'm quite amazed that the Boro fans are so giddy about playing us, in fact they have almost surpassed the level of giddiness that Huddersfield have set the bar at.
I think im correct in saying that they have invaded this forum with the highest number of opposition fans we have ever experienced, from looking at their attendances its a shame they don't get themselves down to the Riverside with the same enthusiasm.
But for this week, our 'Were not famous anymore' award of being as 'Giddy as Kippers' goes to Middlesbrough fans...

Welcome in Smoggy, also, if you could give us any advice on parking for away fans that would be most appreciated
From my last visit, we parked in an industrial area by the river which is about 5/10 mins from the ground & cost £3 . Was a swine to get away from but might not be as busy this time due to the late KO.
We are arriving early afternoon so will have plenty of time to find a parking place & hopefully meet up with Dave or is that Steve for a pre match drink.
