Think it'll be next season for me now lads; had been toying with coming up for the Leicester game but cannot justify the expense (or time, more to the point) given how I feel about the side at the moment and that I'm working overseas for eight days between now and then
But I've enjoyed the meet-ups so will look forward to a trip to the Whistlestop in August

Doubt if I can make it on Saturday.
I have some family business to attend with in Harrogate pre match.
Leicester appears more likely for me.

Are there any Talkers heading down to Brighton for the game in a couple of weeks and fancy a jar or two before the match? I happen to know of one of two fine hostelries (and a few dodgy ones too)
I know DLW & Conor (and their respective chaffeur / chaufee) are heading down but anyone else on for a South Coast pint?

I might be going to that game, Pecky - one of my best mates lives in a village just outside Lewes and I've asked him if he can get us tickets to go. He's a toffees fan and a thoroughly good egg - there's an old photo of him from when he was a kid wearing a pair of LUFC shorts with an Everton shirt so he'll be rooting for us

On the topic of Brighton, how do you get home tickets (I'm not an LUFC member), they have this point system and I don't have any points. Gutted if it means I can't go, will have to wait till March to see Leeds at Palace otherwise

There is no point system, SiMamu, unless they decide a big game is what they call a "loyalty game" which means they will count how many away games every fan had done this season up to that point and give priority to the ones with X games, then Y, then Z. You need to bee a member or season ticket holder to buy away tickets, that's a sine qua non condition. And to become a member there's only a yearly fee - not sure how much, I think around £50 for adults and a bit less for juniors probably.

18LL - it depends on where you're starting from (reminds me of the Irish fella who asked how to get to Dublin from Westport - "well I wouldn't start from here, that's for sure")
Rigger - let me know; Lewes is pretty handy for trains to Falmer (only a few minutes) so you could always meet us in town before and then get train back to Lewes. The ground opens up the bars in the west Stand after the game (open to home & away fans) so you could wait for crowds at station to die down by having a pint if you're only going back to Lewes.
SiManu - the Brighton home tickets are indeed on a loyalty (points) basis and it's unlikely there'll be any for non-point holders as they sold 23,000 season tickets this season so availability on a game by game is pretty low.

Hey
I won't be coming, I'm afraid.
The Evertonian friend from Lewes is off back up to The Wirral for the weekend so that plan's out the window ...
Besides which, I came up for the Brum game last week and after watching that load of old tosh I'm not sure I want to go again
