He said 92 clubs, so I think he means the Football League proper.

I just read it as teams in England My reading comprehension clearly isn't up to scratch at the minute I go back to my orginial remark that there are 18, possibly 4 more but no 23rd.

So, how many am I missing, or in other words, which of those 4 I was unsure about counted?

Borough is the only one you got wrong, so there are still two more to get.
I'll put all of the ones MW got in spoiler tags

United (e.g. Colchester)
Town (e.g. Ipswich)
City (e.g. Norwich)
Wanderers (e.g. Wycombe)
Albion (e.g. Brighton & Hove)
Rovers (e.g. Bristol)
Argyle (Plymouth)
Hotspur (Tottenham)
Villa (Aston)
County (e.g. Derby)
Forest (Nottingham)
Wednesday (Sheffield)
Palace (Crystal)
Vale (Port)
Athletic (e.g. Charlton)
Rangers (Queens Park)
Alexandra (Crewe)
End (Preston North)
Orient (Leyton)
Dons (MK)
Stanley (Accrington)

Only things I can think of are:
 (Dagenham and) Redbridge
AFC (Wimbledon)
But the first is just two places, not really a suffix, and the second is a prefix and surely no different to Leeds United AFC.
If they're not right, I give up.

Howcome 'Palace' counts? Crystal isn't a place surely? I thought the area in London was called 'Crystal Palace' because of the big thing that got built there in the industrial revolution or whatever?

I thought Bob Holness played the James Bond character in a radio play before the films were ever made. I could be spectacularly wrong
