Wow, have a look at the next game in the prediction league! A lot of yellow on there...

I think Warnock will probably go unchanged. If it was me, I'd go with :

Lonergan, Connolly, Lees, O'Dea, Pugh, Clayton, Brown, Snodgrass, White, Becchio and....

.......Danny Webber!

Just think Webber looks hungry. Robinson did OK against Boro but I am not sure Danny Pugh wouldn't have done better. I am a big fan of Danny Pugh and as you all know, not quite such a big fan of Ross (oops, I'm down again) McCormack.

On the bench I'd have Big Billy, Robinson, Bruce or O'Brien if either is fit, Ross and Zac Thompson.

Right, that should have got a few cats roused and a few pigeons worried!

2-0 to the Mighty Whites

Lonergan
Connolly
O'Dea
Lees
Robinson

Brown
Clayton
White

Snodgrass

Becchio
McCormack

Subs- Forrsell, Nunez, Thompson, Paynter, Bromby

I would concur with that team selection. No reason to change a thing after the boro result. Once we get a clear lead in the game,    I'd give Thompson a run on and possibly try Nunez in place of McCormack to team up with snoddy and becchio to see out the game.

I think we'll win it 3-1. Even though the defense has been pretty solid of late I think 'ammers 'ave a goal in them.

Whatever the result I'm really looking forward to the game and my mate and I are travelling down from sunny Glasgow to be there!! Hopefully its as big a crowd as I'm hearing. I bemoan the fact Bates will reap the financial reward of a large gate, although to echo the sentiments of earlier posts, it's supporting the team that matters most, especially at this vital time and against the bigger sides!!!!!!

MOT!!

We must have been watching different matches! Every time i've seen Pugh i'd describe him as average at best, wherever he plays. Mcormack is no athlete but he has more ability than most in the current squad. He was the best player on the pitch last week, surely he's undroppable?
I agree with the things you've said about Aidy White before though, he lacks the ball control to go with his pace that would really make him dangerous. Hopefully he'll develop it as he gets older. I'd bring in Webber for White but otherwise the same as last week.

Well at least it got one reaction! Thanks Costy! However, you can't be seriously saying that Ross Mac was the best player at Boro can you? I'd have O'Dea, Brown and Becchio well ahead if I'd scored it! And how many times is Ross going to miss before he scores again?
Great to have a discussion going though!

I thought McCormack had a very good game against 'Boro that just lacked a goal. He got closer to Becchio and their link up play was very good. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. His work rate was probably the best it has been since he came to the club too.
O'Dea has his best game in a Leeds shirt but I think Robbo's performance was the outstanding one in the back 4. His crucial header and clearance off the line, along with his willingness to put a foot in made his performance the best one I've seen from a left back for Leeds in many a year.
I would like to see more of Webber but I was impressed with how well Aidy did on the right. His composure in his assist for Snoddy should not be under-estimated. He just needs a little more confidence in his own ability and he will be a force to reckon with. Warnock has said as much himself. I did think however that Aidy and Snoddy would swap wings more often during a game. Also Aidy did give plenty of cover for Connolly which he needs.

Exactly, he still does that thing where he sprints down the wing and makes a good break and then when the full back comes across he checks, stops and looks for support. I would like to see him with the confidence to run at the full back and go past him.

To be fair I'm being picky because Aidy has looked good on the right and if he keeps his head down he can only get better and better.

Totally agree confidence is massive for any player, but I just think he has a tendency to knock the ball too far ahead of himself or run into opponents in his haste to get forward. His decision making is still not great either, I was screaming at the telly when he didin't knock the ball across earlier for Snodgrass's goal, cos we had men in great positions, and instead I thought he gave Snoddy a bit of an awkward pass that he couldn't hit properly and we were lucky that their keeper made a mess of it. He is a young player though and I reckon Warnock is the right man to develop these things in him, and we should definitely be trying to keep him for his potential. I just think Webber is that bit more experienced and composed and I think for a game like this he could be an important asset.
Fair enough DLW, there were other players on the day who played well, but Mcormack was certainly among our best and I can't believe you'd drop him! If you could put Aidy White's legs on Mcormack's body then we'd have a player. It'd look weird though

Can't believe that out of the current 3 game run we are on, this one is the one that isn't on the telly

It's a huge game for both teams. I'm not confident, but when am I?

Here's to hoping for 1-0 but expecting the dam to finally burst 1-3.

I see it as a good thing (granted only for us who can go to game). Look what the attendance was against So'ton.

Although, considering it will be on the telly on Fox in Australia, that might mean there will be a stream somewhere. I hope.

That's a good thought. A massive crowd is exactly what will add to this revitalisation.

If it is on telly in Aussie that'll be great for me

Love it when start times are given so accurately

Nice offer from Fox to have alternative viewing times available too; if I was TJ, I'd request 11pm, much more sociable than waiting up until 1.53am for it to start

1.53? Please, that's too tame for me down here in New Zealand. 3.53 or nothing.

I said before the ‘Boro’ game that unless we won that match then our season will be over. I think the same can be said about this game.
Despite our poor home form we really need to take max points from our 6 remaining home games because I really can’t see us getting that many points from our away games at Millwall, Reading & Cardiff.
Plus a win against WHU in front of a big crowd could persuade the fans to return for our remaining home games.

I think all that is spot on RW. I think every game for the next 4 or 5 is a "last chance saloon". The momentum is now with us, Warnock has somehow transformed the side, got us, the fans, to get behind him, even got the chairman talking sense ! BUT now that we know there is going to be a huge crowd in on Saturday, we have to perform. We can probably get away with a draw, as long as we put in a balls out performance again. But defeat, under any circumstances, and the bubble will burst and 10,000 of those there will not be back this season. It is games like this, turning point games, that make or break the season. I have a feeling I may be shedding a tear or two at 4:50pm tomorrow, whichever way it goes!

Certainly agree with you but to add to your comments, our team now looks and achieves more like a PL team (the games broadcasted only) starting with the Boro game than any other wins in this league. I was convinced before SG was dismissed that LUFC players were not good enough but a combination of Bates stance (don't agree) plus SG departure plus NR temporary placement, NW appointment, and new appointments have moulded this team. I now have blind faith but...
