Has Connolly started to lose his passion or is he starting to not understand what's at stake???

From here on in, the object of our game is to defend our lead. Any reasonable top flight manager would be ropable after watching the team concede a precious lead at the death of the match. Why would he expect a pat on the back? Why wasn't he automatically gutted?

Agreed. To expect a pat on the back after wasting that lead is naive to say the least. Has he not heard of Warnock before?
