The place to discuss all transfers and contract situations I saw reported on another site that at his recent "evening with"...NW revealed he failed to sign a couple of players on deadline day (nothing new there), however one player has agreed to sign in the summer. He is looking to bring at least 4 in per season. Additionally he stated in terms of outgoings he was going to make some unpopular decisions. Was anybody the event? Can you confirm what was said?
Regardless....Who do you think might buy and sell in the summer?
My view - Ignoring dead wood, In terms of sales, we only have 7 players of any real value, whose sale might provoke consternation... Lonergan, Lees, Clayton, White, Snodgrass, McCormack and Bechio. NW has been complimentary about Lonergan ... "As good a keeper as there is at this level"; Lees ..."reminds me of Jagielka"; Snodgrass ... "Our best player"; Bechio... "Tried to sign him a couple of times". Never heard him pass real positive comment on White (apart from him "proving coaching staff wrong playing on the right") McCormack and Clayton. Clearly the contract situation will have a huge bearing on over half of these players. I think we are resigned to losing White, and sadly I expect to see 2 out the 3 with one year remaining, leaving for pastures new in the summer. If that is the case we really need to be bringing in 8 or 9 new players!
In terms of incoming I know we have been linked with one of NW's favourite charges Paddy Kenny ... Highly likely in my view, if he has underlying doubts over Lonergan. Additionally we are likely to; already have been linked with half the QPR squad, Shaun Derry being an obvious case in question.
Any snipits or insights into who may go and who he may bring in.
And before we start can we can we leave the (great servent/traitor... Just what we need/has been crock) Alan Smith out of the debate.... Well summer is coming!

Seriously, it might be easier to list who Warnock will want to keep!
I think Snodgrass, Becchio, Lees, McCormack, Clayton and White are the obvious keeps. I also think Bruce and Bromby may stay with us as Warnock seems happy to give them a chance.
I think those left (senior squad members, not the likes of Thomspon and Cairns) could well be moving on.

Not given up on the play offs yet so transfers could still depend on which division we are in.
Saying that have to be realistic so suspect he'll be putting a team together to win this division. I wouldn't be surprised to see Becchio go and somebody with more pace come in to replace him (not sure who).
I expect Robbie Rogers to become part of the team (hearing a lot of good reports about him) so White could go although could turn out to be the squad utility man.
Need a 2nd goalkeeper so Paddy Kenny is a strong possibility.
Feeling Snoddy will go if we don't go up, he's got to want premiership football, but lets hope not.
Ins :-
Paddy Kenny (QPR)
Jordan Rhodes (Udders)
Matt Ritchie (Swndon)
Jonathan Woodgate (Stoke)

Thats quite a mix of reality and optimism!
Paddy Kenny seems logical enough given his past connections with Warnock but I can't see us getting Rhodes, if he leaves Huddersfailed it will be surely to the prem. As for Woodgate, not sure Warnock would risk gambling a good chunk of his budget on wages for a player with a poor injury record. As for Matt Richie, can't say I have heard much about him prior to the JPT final.
In an ideal world I would have them all, but can't see it, unless you know something we don't!

I think we'll see quite a few on their way - probably Nunez and Forsell etc.
I agree that we might find it difficult to hold on to Snoddy if we don't go up and the big money comes calling...
I wouldn't be totally surprised if Becchio goes "because the offer was too good to miss"!

In:
Alan Smith (free)
James Tavernier (free)
Matthew Kilgallon (500k-1m) if we can't agree a deal over O'Dea or if Kisnorbo leaves(see below)
A Back Up ST to Becchio
A back up GK
Maybe Paul Robinson on a permanent
Maybe a delayed Gradel replacement, I'd love for us to sign Danny Rose with a deal like this:
1m up front
3m spread over 36 months where 1m is payed every 12 months
All of this payed off if we get promotion during the 3 years
And some money based on international appearances
One might be playing too much Football Manager
Maybe Robbie Rogers is the delayed replacement?
Out:
Paul Rachubka
Paul Connolly
AOB
Paynter
Forssell and Vayrynen
Michael Brown possibly as we need to renew his contract
Ben Parker
Possibly Kisnorbo due to being injury prone
Danny Webber or Lloyd Sam - whoever's contract gets renewed
Ramon Nunez
--------------Lonergan
Tavernier-Lees-O'Dea/Kilgallon-Pugh/White/Robinson
-----------Smith-Clayton
McCormack-Snodgrass-White/Rose/Rogers
---------------Becchio
Subs: Backup GK, Bromby/Bruce, Pugh/White, Brown, Backup ST

In an ideal world, well mine anyway:
IN:
Beckford (why not? )
Matt Mills
Paddy Kenny (although I think Lonegran is quality)
Rhodes (we can but hope)
Paul Robinson
Matthew Kilgallon
Rhodes and Beckford up top would be some strike force in my opinion, not very likely but were due something good ....
OUT:
Forssell
Sam
White
Brown
Connolly
O'Dear
Andy O'Brien
Bromby

To be honest, I'd love for Alan Smith to join - could be the push we need. He'd provide some spirit and hardiness in midfield as well as having a bit more stamina then Brown.
On a side note, I look up and it says in the corner 'LEEDS through and through' with a picture of Howson

I think Robinson is the one who has agreed to sign in the Summer, I think paddy kenny is a dead cert to sign & depending on QPR's status next year I think we may see Derry & Taraabt on our books.
I think Maik Taylor, Rachubka, O'Dea, Kisnorbo & McCormack will be gone.

We'd have to want him to sign first.
