Fantastic news about White, nice to hear we've been able to retain a player, Snoddy next please.
From OS.
Youngster Aidy White has agreed a new three-year contract to stay on at Leeds United.
The former Academy youngster was out of contract at the end of last season and has been heavily linked with a move away from the club.
But the speculation about his future will be formally put to bed on Saturday when he signs a new three-year deal with the club after pledging his future to United.
Manager Neil Warnock was delighted when he confirmed the player's intentions before Friday's pre-season game at Farsley.
"Aidy is a young player who we have high hopes for and we're delighted he's agreed to a new deal," said the boss.
"He's good going forward and he's good defensively, and he's a big part of our plans here."

Such a relief that Aidy has resigned, need to keep our homegrown talent - the biggest sign that bad things have gone down is when you're Leeds born and bred players would rather play for another team in the same division. So that means Brown and White are set to sign in the coming weeks then? Austin must've scared 'em into it

Call me cynical, but I am never going to be convinced that Aidy White has chosen to stay at Leeds "following his heart" as I have just seen on Twitter many times. I can't help thinking that his demands (or his agents demands) were not met by any of the clubs supposedly interested in him and he has opted for the best deal he can get - the one Leeds offered him weeks ago.
Having said that, we now have to forget all the dithering and get behind him, and hope he grows into a really good player - probably on the wing. He is far from the finished article, but he is now a Leeds player and we will all give him our support.

I can't remember the last time we re-signed somebody? Was it Becchio 2 seasons ago?
Aidy White re-signing is great news, really happy with this. I know this is premature to say the least, but I think Aidy has the potential to get us out of this league - if Warnock plays him on the wings and works on his ability to go around people he could be devistating with his pace. A good fast winger will go a long way to getting us out of this division; Aidy is fast, sometimes plays on the wing and is sometimes good when he plays there - and at his age it wouldn't be a shock if he stepped up again this season and became one of our best players.
A little premature - if we signed him from another club I would be thinking a gamble, but a good gamble... A little like Nunez, Snodgrass or Beckford. (2 and a bit out of 3 isn't bad).

Call me cynical but the club has had a history of allowing players contracts to run down before offering them contracts that have been refused in pretty much all cases with the players either being sold or leaving on a free. Examples include beckford,Johnson,Kilkenny, gradel, schmeichel and howson. Aidy has signed. He's Leeds. He's always been Leeds. It seemed quite obvious (to me anyway) that he really wanted to stay at Leeds (in spite of interest from other clubs). At least 2 managers have come out publicly stating that they wanted him,he's an under 21 international who has bags of potential. He's come through the ranks,he's seen other guys who have come thru the ranks before him leave (mainly due to the club's lack of ambition and will to keep them).
You can be as cynical as you like but he's Leeds and he'll get my support next season for that very reason and he has been loyal to the club he wants to play for.

Connolly, AOB and Rachubka were left out of yesterday's squad - perhaps implying they're close to the exit door? Also, Paddy Kisnorbo was too, is he still injured?

Warnock left after 50 minutes, I don't think we can read too much into what happened in that game.

Given Varny has clearly stated he wants to sign for Leeds, I would be dissapointment if we paid much of a fee for him .... Pompey desperatly need him off their books.... He will be costing them at least £50k per month which they can't afford. Forget the £300k owed to derby... Warnock should tell him to sit tight we will sign him before sept... We could get him for nothing sad fact is they could go bust before that and can't afford to keep him.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there in a way - I reckon that could be exactly what Warnock's attitude & advice is, telling players to wait and see what the new owners have in mind re contracts and the like. I honestly don't begrudge Leeds players hoping even expecting improved contracts.
Am very pleased that White has signed a new contract, I feel vindicated in a way now for his cousin who I know pretty well (a cousin who is old enough to be Aidy's grandad!).
And I hear that Snodgrass is far from certain to be leaving, if he goes it will be because the club has sold him rather than him asking to go. It's only what I've been told but my 'sources' are strong. A bit like Heinz tomato ketchup with chilli in
