Cheers Max, got there just before me
So looks like its subject to a medical. Expect an announcement soon chaps and chappettes
This summer is a bit different to last season, we only had Brown and Lonergan this time last season I think.

I'd like to think of myself as a shuttle bus, fast, streamlined and sexy.
Thank you very much

Negotiations have been slow, partly because the distance between what Leeds would pay for the player and what Brann wanted to get was great
Well that's never happened before!

With regards to Warnock's statement about wanting 8 more players in, it's not that far-fetched and definitely not unreasonable considering how many players we've got on the transfer market. Just depends how it will be put into practice.
But if you count that we seem to be almost there with Peltier, Austin & Varney, then they're obviously considering another back-up striker and defender (hence the trials to Gray and Craine), they all might be done even without the takeover I suppose. He's stated he wants to bring a second goalkeeper, I imagine he won't splash much cash for that either, so that's 6. Add another utility man somewhere, and, I hope, a exciting statement-making signing in any area, and it adds up. How that will translate into practice, I have no idea.

according to twitter (thomas kirwin???)
there is a player at thorpe arch right now doing a medical and its not austin. Deal for austin agreed and things to get moving with that this week. Could take 7 days for a work permit.
Not sure who the player is , varney was spoken about between kirwin and warnock but he never said it was him at thorpe arch so it might be a mystery player??

Peltier? Apparently on the 20th July, according to someone on twitter, Hudds pulled out.

Basically says we're about to sign somebody and it isn't Austin (he'll probably sign next week). Also one of the trialists is close to signing.
Sounds positive.

Hoping 1-2 players in the next 24 hours. One lad having a medical this afternoon and will join them in Cornwall. Austin not quite there, but optimistic. Work permit-wise might take a while, can't see it finished this week.
O'Brien and Paynter possibly moving out, discussions about 1 or 2 of the other lads.
Can't do anything about (Snodgrass) speculation, nothing the player can do about it either, just have to push on and hope it's resolved.

No point in that summary, OS posting as well
"We're a bit thin," said the boss. "As we talk there could be two within the next 24 hours. We're doing medicals on Monday afternoon so there's more news on the horizon.
"We've got one down with us and one of the lads is having a medical at Thorp Arch and if that goes well we'll complete that one."
The boss also confirmed that talks are ongoing with Jamaican international Rodolph Austin about a move from SK Brann, although he doesn't expect that to be finalised during this week.
For the rest of the squad it was business as usual except in different surrounds as they were put through their paces at Duchy College in Cornwall. Fans are invited to attend an open session on Tuesday from 10.30am at the venue, following Monday evening's game against Tavistock.
"It's a matter of blending the lads we've got in," said the boss. "The weather is great and I'm sure our fans will enjoy it this week. The lads are relaxed and they will work very, very hard which is what it's about at this stage.
"Both games are on decent pitches, they're not far away, it's like a carnival night for them. It's nice to put a bit back into Cornwall. It's amazing we sold the tickets we did at Torquay - and Tavistock and Bodmin are two great clubs and I'd ask our fans to behave and they'll have a great time."
The boss was hoping to give his senior players more game time against Tavistock, but he will also be cautious of the players who missed Friday due to injury.
"Snoddy had a right hamstring and depending how he is we might not risk him at Tavistock," he said.
"The speculation that's going on around him isn't his fault, so we'll just see what happens. It'll be tough in both games because they've been training weeks, but the pitches will be good, and there'll be a good atmosphere."

Warnock said we could have 2 players signed in the next 24 hours.1s got to be varney, the other could be gray or peltier at a guess. 1s having a medical in leeds, the others with the squad in cornwall. O brien spoke to a club at the weekend, and paynters likely to leave.Anyone remember the last time we signed 2 players in 24 hours?
