Suprised we have not started to get linked with names as possible signings already? anyone heard/read who we might be after?
id love robinson to stay. hows his alround performances been in the last 2 games?
See George Boyd is being sold my the posh in the summer. would love us to sign him.
Also Clint Hill from Qpr would be a great addition.
Just my views, but as stated im suprised weve not started to hear whispers of agents being contacted etc etc

I can tell you he used to play for CSKA Moskow. He fell out of favour with Nigeria after the World Cup in 2010.

Someone said on here yesterday that they'd heard a rumour about it being Matthew Upson, don't know source or credibility though.

I agree with this. If we keep Paul Robinson that will be a good addition too.
Lees is a good kid though, he will do well and get better and better. He may not be great on the ball but he is a central defender, the few centre halves that are good on the ball are reasonably rare and that particular skill is just a bonus really.

Narrowed down to five then. Derry, Upson, Kenny, Alan Smith and Messi.
Sign them all except that Messi. I think he's a little lightweight for the Championship and a bit of a flash in the pan.

Aidy White not being counted as a defender by the way, but a midfielder.
Technical CBs are rare and are often get beaten in set pieces, take Arsenal - always go for technical CBs.
So Kenny or Lonergan as first choice?
Midfield of Clayton-Derry-Smith then?
Upson with Lees in CB?

Lonergan, lees, clayton, snodgrass, McCormack and bechio should stay I also feel somma could come good as a poacher option on the bench. Ignoring the kids and Robbin Rodgers. I believe we therefore need two fullbacks - old old head clogger like Robinson and one younger one with pace, two centre halves - one big ugly type and one with a bit more pace. (lees will develop, but is another 8 months off being ready in my view). Two midfield players - a batty esq ball winner, and more of a playmaker, plus a pacey winger / forward max gradel esq.That 7 acquisitions. White hopefully will be retained, but I personally do not see him as a midfielder, and he maybe too lightweight for fullback, so I feel it will be no great loss if he leaves.
If clayton, snodgrass and McCormack do not sign contract extensions in the next 4 weeks we will need their replacements. Maybe George Boyd for snoddy, mckell smith ... On the bench at Brighton might be an option for rosco. All in all I suspect the starting line up next season to feature at least 8 new faces, more if NW doesn't fancy lonergan and wants kenny. It could be the only familiar face will be bechio! Farcical really, what a mess we are in ... Long term planning off the pitch, short term punts on it. What with a manager who is only here for 12 months and a chairman in his 80s the future is ...well changing!
