I've been watching Adu for years, and in the past two years he has started playing well. He is also only 23. I think he is worth a look, and his talent is obvious. What has kept him back has been lack of a work ethic. Well, he played in an MLS first team at age 14. No wonder he thought things would come easy. They didn't, and he has worked hard in the past few years to improve, and I think he may turn out to be a good addition if he signs. I would be happy of he performed well because it would improve our national side as well.

I hate that road with a passion, but sadly the roadworks are in both directions, so it's hard to tell. However, they are worse the closer to Leeds you get - so he's either just been, or is on his way.

Clubs just off the M62 - Rochdale, Huddersfield, Bradford, Leeds and Hull.
However, I am sure the more likely destination is the Trafford Park shopping centre, or his family in Halifax.

He does live in Halifax .... And if you have ever been to Halifax shopping ....you go to Leeds!
He will sign though.... Neiled on.

Hudds favourites for Ross McC, says the YEP
Why would he rejoin Grayson? A manager who signed him and then played him in the reserves for a season....

According to The YEP we are looking at bringing in Luke Varney and David Norris both of Portsmouth.

Varney as a McCormack replacement then? I was hoping for Beckford but Varney's good too.

The story about the two players from Portsmouth, YEP today
Neil Warnock has intensified his push for more signings at Leeds United by reviving his interest in Portsmouth duo David Norris and Luke Varney.
Warnock is on the trail of Norris and Varney again after seeing his plans to overhaul United’s squad move forward this week with the acquisition of Norwich City left-back Adam Drury and Derby County midfielder Paul Green.
The Leeds manager originally marked out Norris and Varney as targets at the end of the recent Championship season, around the time of his successful approach for Jason Pearce, but a shortage of transfer funds at Elland Road prevented him from making a firm bit for either player.
Warnock is believed to have re-iterated his interest in the past seven days but Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday upped the ante in the pursuit of Norris’ signature by holding talks with him earlier this week.

The 31-year-old midfielder is thought to have spoken with the South Yorkshire club on Wednesday and Portsmouth are actively working to sell him as their battle to exit administration goes on.
Norris – a player with more than 400 competitive appearances behind him – was linked with a switch Leeds to last summer, prior to his switch from Ipswich Town to Fratton Park, but his career with Portsmouth will end after only one full season on the south coast.
Varney, 29, is also preparing to cut his ties with Pompey less than 12 months after joining them from Derby County. The former Crewe Alexandra striker, who scored six times last term, took up an offer from Pompey in July 2011 after completing a season in the Premier League while on loan at Blackpool.
Warnock was rumoured to be keen on signing Varney, pictured right, on a temporary basis soon after becoming United’s manager in February and Leeds are looking for another striker with top-scorer Ross McCormack expected to leave Elland Road before the start of the new season.
lWatford’s potential takeover by the Pozzo family is now off, according to current owner Laurence Bassini.
The Hornets, who are yet to make an official statement on the development, confirmed earlier this week they had agreed a deal in principle to sell the club to the Pozzo family.
The Italians already own Serie A side Udinese and Spanish team Granada and looked well poised to take the reins at Vicarage Road, with Gianfranco Zola even heavily linked with a prospective role at Vicarage Road.
But Bassini, who bought the npower Championship club 15 months ago, said: “They don’t have the money (I want for the takeover) so I’m not doing the deal. They didn’t provide the proof of funds and it is not transparent enough so that is that.
“They have so many partners but they don’t have the money.
“The deal is definitely off. They do not have the money.”

Why are we looking at selling a striker who scored 19 times last season and replacing him with one who scored 6 times?
Also see that Sean Scannell has joined Huddersfield. A good signing by Grayson. Shows that he will go for quality when given the resources.

We're not "looking to sell" McCormack; we've offered him an enhanced contract with a year to run on his existing one. We're looking to keep him!!!

Grayson willing to spend £2.5m on Ross according to the Mirror....
Simon Grayson has set up a £2.5million swoop for Leeds striker Ross McCormack after the Huddersfield boss completed the £900,000 capture of Crystal Palace’s Sean Scannell.
£2.5m would make things interesting

I would snap their hands off for that. I know he scored goals last season but I just dont rate him that highly.

Sell him for 2.5 million, and do it quick, before they change their minds.

Theoretically we could get gradel and beckford back for that money. Can't see the dog botherers coming up with £2.5m or his wages though
I believe warnock will make one major signing up front, a jay bothroyd, DJ Campbell, beckford type .... Power and pace to give a route one option.
