More news of the lad Robbie Rogers. Fit and training with LA Galaxy first team. Thats one less headache. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/...rom_footer
It's good news, until a stiff breeze blows and he breaks his arm or some such thing. The guy seems very brittle.
I checked his stats with his prior club Columbus Crew. Of 148 games where is was eligible he played in 106 and missed only 12 dues to injury and the other 36 due to National level appearances.

It's good that we're filling positions that needed strengthening - I just hope they do turn out to be significantly better players than what we had. I suppose in terms of defenders they can't really not be! I'm just slightly wary of getting too excited over players coming from other championship teams that didn't do especially well themselves. But still, three signings and what looks like a fourth can't really be grumbled at.

The mate who is a hudders fan rates him, so hopefully he will prove to be a decent signing.
we are all waiting for this
Lee Peltier's £350,000 move to Leeds United is all agreed and will go through as soon as the takeover at the Yorkshire club is completed.

Paddy Kenny's probably waiting for the takeover too
Perhaps Aidy White is waiting for the takeover to resign?

I recall some quote last season about peltier being ericksons best signing and that he will undoubtedly go on to play at the highest level.

For me this is a great signing because the potential is there.
And by that I mean the potential to upset at least a few Udds fans

Would prefer jack hunt ... And with our new found wealth Jordan Rhodes... Just to stick him in the reserves!
On a serious note graysons 3 signings look reasonably sound.... Greedy agents don't seem to have be the same problem for him there! Really would like to see him do well ... But also want them to get relegated.... Maybe settle for do well first 12 games and then leave them for a bigger club like Scunthorpe!

Lee Peltier would be a great signing. That would complete the remaking of our back four into one that should be decent at the very least, and has the potential to be quite good.

That certainly is encouraging, thanks for that. Perhaps this is just a spare off fluke injuries. I do know that the physicality of the English game is usually a painful adjustment for Americans, pun intended. It remains to be seen whether he can take it or not, but I rate him, and I hope he can handle it.

Think his injurys were definately both flukes, but from what I've seen I feel he'll prove to be one of our better players this season.

Lets hope Green gets lost and the deal doesn't go through..Wouldn't make a good squad player, seen him play ''tog out'' for ROI and he is brutal..I posted up before about Andy Keogh coming back to us last year on loan and i said he wouldn't be a regular by October i was out by 2 weeks Paul Green is the same not a good signing certainly not good enough for us..

Paul Dixon from Dundee utd Scottish international left back 25, and some kid 20 from man u who turned down a contract there. Ok they are not world beaters but seem solid signings

It doesn't really spell like ambitious signings to be honest. Actually, they sound like exactly the kind of signings that would have raised an eyebrow or two at Leeds. Dixon sounds alright, although signing a good player from a run of the mill (I know, they qualified for Europe this year) Scottish side is like bringing someone from, say, Derby. As for the kidm it's Oliver Norwood, and let's face it, he didn't turn down a contract because he was so good. Credit to him, he probably realised he had no chance of actually playing much football (had been there since 7 and made 1 first team appearance), so he was looking for a change of scenery.

The YEP says we're in for Luke Chambers, out of contract at Forest
Leeds United are being linked with a bid to sign out-of-contract Nottingham Forest captain Luke Chambers.
Chambers is available on a free transfer after five seasons at the City Ground and Leeds have been credited with an interest in the experienced defender.
Forest have been unable to tie Chambers down amid their recent search for new owners and his status as a free agent has allowed several clubs – among them Ipswich Town – to set their sights on the 26-year-old.
Ipswich are thought to be at the front of the queue to sign the centre-back, whose appearances for Forest number more than 200 and reports in Suffolk claim manager Paul Jewell will attempt to force the transfer through in the next seven days. Chambers’ contract at the City Ground ended at midnight.
But Leeds have emerged as another possible option for Chambers as the Yorkshire club inch towards a takeover at Elland Road.
United manager Neil Warnock has already signed one centre-back this summer, landing Jason Pearce in a £500,000 deal from Portsmouth and he gave youngster Tom Lees a firm vote of confidence by handing the 21-year-old a new, long-term contract last month.
But his supply of centre-backs diminished towards the end of last season with the departure of on-loan Darren O’Dea and the subsequent release of Alex Bruce. Andy O’Brien has been transfer-listed by Warnock and Leigh Bromby is recovering from serious knee surgery.
Forest, meanwhile, are close to a takeover but the delay in finding new owners has cast doubt over the future of a number of their more prominent players.
The Nottingham club narrowly avoided relegation from the Championship last season and their prospects for the coming campaign are unclear with a buy-out in the offing and doubts growing about the future of manager Steve Cotterill.
Asked in April where he was likely to be playing next season, Chambers said: “At this moment I don’t know. I can’t answer that – we’ll have to wait and see.
“I want to be involved in a team that is moving in the right direction. Hopefully I can do that, wherever that might be.”
Warnock’s signings have numbered three since the end of the 2011-12 term, with Pearce joining Leeds on May 4 and Paul Green and Adam Drury set to move north from Derby County and Norwich City respectively once their existing deals run out this evening.
But the prospect of new ownership at Elland Road – a takeover which is believed to be on the verge of completion – promises to open the way to further arrivals in the days leading up to the start of pre-season training on July 11.
Warnock, who has been out of the country on holiday this week, has already underlined the importance of the next fortnight, saying: “I want to make sure that as many signings as possible are here before we start on July 11.
“It’s the first day of pre-season when you want or need most of your players on board. That’s when everything starts.”

Sorting the defence was a priority but it would be nice to see us linked with some creative/potent attacking players. You'll never get promoted without them; QPR had Taraabt, Nowich had Houlihan and Holt, Swansea had Dyer and Sinclair, Reading had Mcanuff, Southampton had Lallana and Lambert etc etc. We don't even know if we're keeping some of our main ones (Snodgrass, Mcormack Clayton) and lets be honest they were all fairly ineffective in the second half of last season anyway

I think getting in another CB is a must as we'll only have an injury-prone Kisnorbo to rely on as a back-up.
But I agree about the need for a creative player. Perhaps Beckford replacing McCormack up top and someone like Gradel for creativity.
