The bit about getting 'a midfielder more suited to his style and tactics' is telling - I for one did not enjoy watching his 'style and tactics'
One could also argue that his record is telling and I for one would welcome midfielders that fit the style and tactics of getting promotion.

I would too, I just hope we try and play at least some football along the way. I'm not an out out purist but what we watched following his take over of the team was awful, that surely can not be denied. Or blamed on the previous regime, because at the very least we were often entertaining under Grayson

Adam Clayton still in talks, not necessarily leaving.

Thats basically just what NW said the other day but stripped of context.
There is no contract offer for Clayton to consider because he asked for too much. NW has said he'd like all the contract offers sorted by the end of the month but knows that Snoddy may take longer.
Just tabloid journalism on a quiet news day me thinks.

So what's going on with Michael Brown? No news on him and his contract yet, at least we get weekly 'updates' from YEP on Aidy, Snoddy and Ross. With Brown there's nothing. So is he signing or not? Perhaps Green is his replacement.

Other than the players out of contract, I really don't see anything happening until the takeover/investment is sorted.
We will just need to be patient SiMamu.

The thought had occurred to me as well.

Yuss! Some squad news, at last!
Leeds United: Brown’s poised for fresh talks
The future of Leeds United midfielder Michael Brown is set to become clearer this week, with boss Neil Warnock to speak to him after offering him fresh terms last month.
The 35-year-old, whose existing Whites contract runs out at the end of this month, has been offered a new one-year deal on significantly reduced terms and is currently mulling over the offer.
Brown is due to return from holiday this week, with Warnock planning to get in touch and discuss the veteran’s future. Brown enjoyed an upturn in form under Warnock, his former manager at Sheffield United, with the Whites boss keen to keep hold of him for another season.
This was only two weeks ago; he's not exactly the forgotten man of Elland Road

This update may only have been 2 weeks ago but he was offered the new deal at the start of may so I think the question being raised is still a valid one.
Personally,I won't be too disappointed either way whether he re-signs or not. If he stays he'll be a decent squad player to have with plenty of experience,if he goes he won't be too hard to replace I wouldn't imagine.

We don't exactly get a daily update from Snoddy, Macca, White or any other players that have been offered new contracts; this was the most recent news on any of the players that have been offered new contracts that I recall.
The guy got back from his holidays two weeks ago; has now had further discussions with the club about the terms of (let's not forget, a significantly reduced) deal so he'll only just be thinking about the implications of taking that deal or seeking one somewhere else.
All players are under contract until July 1st; I think we can expect some movement on out of contract players after that time.

Poor Browny, getting so much attention and he hasn't grazed anyone's ankle this time, who would have thought?
Maybe we're reading too much into it, what if all the new contract offers have been put on hold after being notified something is definitely going to happen within days, re: takeover? I remember reading something from Warnock 5-7 days ago saying he'll know Aidy White's position within 48 hours, and there hasn't been anything after that. There's been no real noise indicative of a final decision on any of the players under offer, let's just hope when the takeover is completed most of them take the wise decision and re-sign. It might a domino effect that, with a few immediate quality transfers, convinces Snoddy to sign up as well.

I reckon Brown will sign his new, yet reduced contract. After all, its an offer and I don't think he will get many others.
