Not meaning to monopolize your interview section, but I'd like to offer you all one more, this time with none other than bogdan. The truth is that there should have been a number of interesting feedbacks; we were promised entries from the Forest A Block, and from the Hull City Fansite, but they simply didn't arrive in time, so the other half to the interview is finally Urz-Al, an established younger contributor on the RR membership.
So here it is: http://royalsrendezvous.co.uk/topic/9632398/1
Hope you like it!!
Many thanks once again for your time, and do feel free to relay any little snippet on this thread which I might transfer over to our topic if you don't object (crediting your LUFC Talk user name) ...
Have good hols everyone, and keep Neil gets them back snapping to go real soon!!

Some good interviews there. Always good to read peoples choices on teams and why not other clubs. Cheers Bogdan and Alex

Congrats Bogdan - good interview, albeit too short. And now I realise I have something else in common with you...we in our house are all mad keen Ferrari F1 fans, don't ask me why, no idea where it came from, but because of that we are also big fans of Schumi. Like you, we acknowledge that on occasions he was an out and out cheat, but at the same time, as you say, he was the master of his art. Was also fond of Romania in the 70's and 80's ...something to do with Nadia Comaneci from memory!!!!!

A very specialist thing to mention granted, but in classical music the current Rumanian violin soloist Gabriel Croitoru (about 45 yrs old?) is probably the best violinist in the world I have ever performed live with - absolutely amazing sound ...

Are you actually a Chello player then ? I would then understand your Avatar! I am sorry if that info has not come across to me before now but I wasn't aware. Is it your career when not following the Royals?

Nice interview Bogdan. Interesting that Petrescu was your favourite player. Of that generation of Romanian footballers Hagi has to be my favourite despite him going on to play for that Turkish team. Saw him first at Elland Road in '96 when Romania played Spain. Even in the pre-match warm up every pass was inch perfect whether it be 20 yards or 70 yards.

Well, yeah, I work as principal cello in the Navarre Symphony Orchestra in Spain. 'Got a special contract so 'only' work 66% of time (and free time gets eaten up on football forums!). Before that I was in London, in and out of the Royal Philharmonic, BBC recordings, West End shows etc. But was a Reading FC regular from well before going to music college!! Played in a special Spanish group tango concert at Leeds University a few years back, which was a really memorable occasion - the interest was phenonomal. Good on the Leeds folk. Unfortunately not back much at moment, got two boys to watch over, and ... as you know Spain is in a big financial mess.

Incredible how much fame she got and still has. They always say Comaneci, Nastase and Hagi are the three main figures that everybody knows abroad. Two of them well before my time, but with Nastase at least I understand he had a bit of an (well, a huge) away-from-court reputation. But Comaneci basically got that top mark and settled down for a life of giving interviews from the comfort of the USA and cutting ribbons at charity parties all her life. Bit strange to me.

Hagi had tons of talent and passion, but got a bit too accustomed to star status and had quite a bit of a petulant side to him. It didn't help that he is incredibly stubborn, which is well-proven by his erratic career in management - mainly supported by his former teams and giving very little in return.

Have to agree with that Birky.
Loved watching the Rumanian team that played in the WC in the 90’s & Gheorge Hagi was one of my favourite foreign players, probably because he reminded me so much of our Billy.

What a fabulous career to have! I have always envied those who can play a musical instrument and those who can speak a second language...being in Spain now, I bet you have that too! You almost have the perfect life from my perspective....just the , err, Reading thing that doesn't fit ! Only joking. Good luck for the new season, I know all the Leeds fans on LUFCTALK will be looking out for your results because of your excellent input to the forum.
Best wishes

Would definitely prefer Petrescu to be our manager than Hagi. Enjoyed watching his teams play in Europe.
Surprised you didn't pull me up on the accidently on purpose typo.

Only been to Rumania once. Went down the Danube Delta for a couple of days and a couple of days in The Carpathian Mountains. I seem to remember when I was there that beer was cheap
As a foot note have never really liked tennis but I would watch Ille Nastase play as he was probably the most gifted tennis player I ever saw.

Yeah, absolutely brilliant player
Although for some time I was convinced he was French
Mind you, there are people who live and work in Canada who are convinced they are French so I'm not being too hard on myself

And when did they change the spelling of Romania? This is not a famous LUFCTALK spell check, I have a few old programmes which spell Romania back then as Rumania.

Presumably when they changed the spelling of Ayre's Rock to Ulluru and all the Indian cities away from the "colonial" stain.
And Peking to Beijing.
