Give us your picks
We have threads on here about books, movies, music and all manner of things in 'the real world.' We are on the internet though, and therefore I have gone about creating a thread all about our favourite websites and pieces of software that we use each and every day. Whether for enjoyment, procrastination or maybe even for their usefulness.
Places like this great forum, facebook and youtube we will take as red. I'm looking for the less talked about stuff that we might not have heard about.
My Top 5:
Number 1 is by far the most popular website of all of my choices, but I frequent it every day to read its many weird and wonderful posts. Reddit is a huge forum in which people post things about anything and everything, they are then voted on and the best stuff rises to the top. It's a very popular site, so I wouldn't be surprised if we all know about it already.
Number 2 for me is a comedy website, also quite popular, called Cracked. It has lists and articles about funny, interesting and mysterious things that happen in life. Some of the observations fall flat, but most are great and offer a good read each day.
Number 3 is a trivia website called Funtrivia. It has thousands of quizzes about anything you can think of, and is a great way to prove your superior knowledge over others
Number 4 is an online game I have played thousands of times and is fun every time, 8 ball pool.
However I believe I have left the best for last with this piece of software called Stellarium. Download it and then enter your Latitude and Longitude co-ordinates to give you an accurate, up to date, real time map of the night (and day) sky. Get information about every star, nebula, satellite, planet and galaxy that is above you at any moment. I have only had it for about a week but my goodness have I enjoyed it.
So that's my list, I look forward to seeing your best of the internet

My favourite website (after this one of course) is www.sporcle.com - beware if you currently have a life, do not go on this as you may get sucked in and find you get spat out having lost it. If you don't have one then great, go on the website, have some fun and you'll learn stuff aswell. There are some decent LUFC things on there aswell if you just put Leeds in the search box.
Other than that www.damnyouautocorrect.com makes me double over laughing every time without fail, great if I need cheering up, and it's updated all the time. Another warning message, don't go on if in a public place (eg. Library/work when you ought to be working) and on your own, it's impossible not to look like the crazy guy creased over laughing all alone, something that's happened to me a couple times.
