Re: The departed
What a sad loss this morning with the death of the great Leonard Cohen. A true song writing genius and a wonderful performer. The Tower of Song has a lost gifted resident.
How quickly can this year end?

Re: The departed
I was lucky enough to get to see Mr Cohen at The O2 in London about five years ago.
I've been there three times, all corporate through DJing at a club down here as the owner would be invited every now and then by the brewery.
Free booze and food and obviously great seats.
This gig was my first visit and the man was immense.
I'd never been much of a fan before but when you get asked to see a legend (and for free) you don't turn it down, do you ?
What a voice !
What a beautiful, resonant, booming yet gentle voice.
At times you could hear a pin drop that night and the sound quality was the best I've ever heard at any venue.
Wonderful night and I was immediately a fan afterwards.
RIP Leonard Cohen and thank you for everything. Influential isn't the word ..

I'm sure he would be happy with this. R.I.Prigger wrote:I was lucky enough to get to see Mr Cohen at The O2 in London about five years ago.
