England win toss and bat. Big selection with both Broad and Anderson not playing, Leach and Wood into the side

Day 1 of an Ashes test, what more can you ask for (bar a Leeds win).
Owners come and go but Leeds United will be there forever, for the fans - keep Marching on Together.

What a start! First ball of the match, England already in trouble.

Hameed and Pope did well to get to lunch, then another loss of concentration and another wicket. Butler is going to have to do something or they won't make 100-150.

Hazelwood and Cummins bowling very good.

Good fightback by Pope and Buttler, Buttler got a beauty but Pope's dismissal was a let down considering how he'd played.

Woakes/Robinson need to bat well.

147 all out, not good enough, not enough fight bar about 4 players who made above 20.

Rain and storms, I think the Aussies will hope it sticks around till the close as batting after a big storm in Brisbane is very difficult.

England's first innings score isn't even a decent score in a 20 overs match.
I once played against Don Revie.

Early breakthrough with Robinson getting Harris but all Australia now, Stokes gets Warner but bowls a no-ball. When your luck is out nothing goes right!!!

Australia 1/113 at Lunch, Robinson and Wood caused some problems in the first hour of the second day but it just seems too easy for the batsmen. Once they get a lead of 200 this game will probably be over.

Better middle session there as England removed the Aussie danger players in Labuschagne and Smith. The fast bowlers are doing ok but Leach has gone for way too many even if he did get Manus. Overseas off spinners usually struggle here and Leach has found out the hard way. Warner nearly got his 100, oh for that no-ball! :x
