Australian long distance runner Ron Clarke died earlier in the week, he held the 10,000 world record from 1963 to 1972 and won a bronze medal at the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo, RIP

Patrick McNee has passed away. He was brilliant as John Steed in The Avengers.

Great voice too, loved him when he starred in the original Battlestar Galactica as Count Iblis and he did the voice for the imperious leader and the voice over for the opening credits. RIP

I love that band.
He was the only member of every line-up too ... absolutely world-class bass-player who took the instrument - and rock music in general - to another level - RIP Chris. Thanks for the beautiful legacy ..

A great man indeed. He lived in Maidenhead where I live, his statue sits proudly on Maidenhead train station.
