Davy, is that 75 years of age or 2075? I retired at 60 and I'm 79 next month. Time doesn't half fly when you're having fun!Davycc wrote:I was planning to retire "again" at around 60 but after careful financial calculations I think I could manage it around 75

I once played against Don Revie.

75 years of age, but 2075 may be more realistic loljohnh wrote:Davy, is that 75 years of age or 2075? I retired at 60 and I'm 79 next month. I know what you mean, no cosy pension for me, for various reasons. I will be working till the day I drop, unless plan A, B or C come to fruition ofcourse! Write some successful children's books, win the lottery or meet a nice yet very solvent man that wants to share everything! (As I am in no way mercenary, then that would have to be a very lucky moment!)Davycc wrote:75 years of age, but 2075 may be more realistic loljohnh wrote:Davy, is that 75 years of age or 2075? 4 weeks today until I turn 20 and my teens are over, not sure if I'm happy about that or not!

I'm 47. Squeezed between children with demands that are growing and elderly parents with growing demands! Don't get me wrong, I'm damn glad for both sets, but boy does it get faster every day.
It's a constant surprise to me, i.e., my age. Usually I feel I'm only 18 but occasionally I feel much closer to 90!

I`m 58 and by this age would have liked a nice little place in Leeds so I could come up for weekends but the kids have made sure I never had enough money to do so, bless them.
