As it's the 27th November, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy "Lancashire Day".

dlw10 - FA Trophy. Both Maidenhead Utd and Worcester got through. We may still get that pint!
I once played against Don Revie.

FA Trophy draw.
Worcester away to Southport
Maidenhead away to Merthyr or East Thurrock.

Just seen that - Southport not doing well near bottom of the Conference so we should see them off!johnh wrote:FA Trophy draw.

Re: The blabla of the forum
I think Maidenhead hope that East Thurrock win the replay against Merthyr, they won't fancy a trip to Merthyr. Have played against most teams down the East End (and beyond) - Dagenham, Grays, Tilbury, Rainham but never played against East Thurrock.

Re: The blabla of the forum
I came across an old photo of a Firm's 'do' which reminded me of the following.
In the early 1960's, the firm I worked for had their annual dinner/dance at the Astoria Ballroom on Roundhay Road.
Her indoors couldn't go as we had just had a baby son. As I was on my own and worked in the Accounts Dept., I was asked to collect all monies. There were two raffles in aid of the Sports and Social club and some other monies I had to collect. I took my briefcase to carry the cash in. I decided to leave before the end (about 11.45 pm) and had about 300 pounds in the briefcase, equivalent of several thousand today. When I got to the bus stop (couldn't afford a car in those days) I found that I had missed the last bus so I walked into town. When I got to City Square I found that a bus was running which took me to within about 2 miles of where I live in Farnley. I got home OK and was never once concerned that I was carrying (what was then) a large sum of money. Not having lived in Leeds for over 45 years, my question is: Would you do it now?
