Tastes of pork, apparently. Long Pig, as the head hunters of Borneo or somesuch used to call us. Think of the bacon you could get from your fat mate... :D :angel:

I don't think they understand vegetarianism in France. I once explained to a waiter that I did not eat meat and I ordered a salad. When it came it looked wonderful but there was one item on the plate I didn't recognise. My wife couldn't stop laughing when she saw it. They'd given me foie gras - something that would raise the hackles of even some meat eaters in the UK. To give it to a non-meat eater was insane. My wife took it and I think she liked it .

There's nothing inherently wrong with people who are vegans, so long as they don't try and drag you to the Hari Krishna restaurant for lunch : lentils anyone ??

Sadly, I used to work with someone who tried it every day ...

It's like religion or politics - just keep it to yourself, eh ?
