Me too, he was a top player when I was a kid didn't he play alongside Martin CHivers and even Greaves?

Another of my boyhood heroes gone.
He's at peace now I guess after being ill for a number of years.
Great player and a top bloke by all accounts
RIP Paul Madeley. Gone but won't be forgotten.

Spent this evening joyfully reminiscing with fellow Leeds fans about our younger days supporting the club. Some very jovial moments. Then this news broke.

Its been quiet for a while now.
RIP Paul.

RIP Paul Madeley, sad to hear that he has passed away, a man of many positions on the field and filled them all with such ease.

Really sad to hear about Paul Madeley. I remember when he was at school and was regularly in a write-up in the Yorkshire Post for his achievements at schoolboy level along with his brother Michael. You knew he was destined for bigger things. I played against Mick Madeley several times when he played for Farsley Celtic. He was also a good player but gave the game up to watch Paul when he played for Leeds. RIP to one of the best club-men who ever played the game.
I once played against Don Revie.

I met Paul at the Revie dinner & he was very ill then. Sad news & one that leaves a tear in the eye. Fabulous player from a fantastic team.

Tony Bullimore - a British Sailor who was once rescued by the Australian Navy after his boat capsized off the coast of Western Australia, he spent 4 days living in his upside down boat until rescued by the Navy, in fact he swam out to the rescue boat. Many thought he was dead for those 4 days he was missing and in some way it was a miracle he survived. Sadly this week he died of stomach cancer aged 79.

Back in 1997 this was big news as at the same time a Frenchman was being saved as both were competitors in the Round the world race.

RIP
