Aye the defeat from Scotland was the wake up call that England needed.

Saw a quote from someone saying next year England should warm up against Australia before play a 5 match series against Scotland.

Am looking forward to our trip to Scarbados, travelling up on Sunday & the forecast is really good. The downside is we are playing a strong Surrey side & are 7 players missing, just hope we don't pick up any injuries in the next couple of days at The Ageas Bowl.

What a splendid victory of the old enemy. Highlights were Jordan Clarkes hat trick where he took the wickets of Root, Williamson & Bairstow probably given the 3 world status the best hat trick ever. Late last night Root got the important wicket of Buttler & a further 3 wickets this morning returning with figures of 4-5 easily a career best for Joe. Fantastic game.

This morning I received a message asking if I was still going to be in Manchester for 4 days to which I replied we were. This was followed a little while later another text asking if we would like complimentary tickets for The Lowery Theatre to which we said yes. So a night of the life, music & loves of Miss Dusty Springfield awaits.

Joe Root run out on 80? Careless, lack of concentration? He is having trouble getting starts but not turning them into big scores.
I once played against Don Revie.
