What a coincidence. I was thinking about Brian Close at work last night and how he took a mighty battering from the Windies' quicks when he came back in to the England side in '76. He was playing for Somerset by then, of course, and had become something of a hero to us Cidermen.

Really disappointing our collapse considering we were in such a good position around 100 Runs/10 overs. I think if BUttler & Morgan had managed to hold an end for a over or 2 we could of really kicked on in the final 8 or so.

D'Arcy SHort & Glen Maxwell really showing the way to attack a ball though!

Definitely! It's a shame all the bigger players only end up playing 1/2 ICC County Champ Games a season with all the different big bash/t20 tournaments popping up everywhere. I know having the chance to see good overseas players/england players semi-regularly at my local ground was one of the biggest draws of cricket for me when i was younger.

On another note - good to see Short gone and a few quite overs for England to regain composure. We might be able to claw this back.

Thing with Maxwell he's good with the bat but he's incredible as a fielder what a superb athlete.

That was a catch, Maxwell should be back in the pavilion. He will hurt us now.

Great finish with a 6 too!

I agree though, definitely a catch. I'm not sure about these Soft calls in general, i know it worked our way in the final ODI but i think that's 2 controversial decisions in our last 2 matches.
