The YCCC situation is a special case, it isn't money that has caused such upheaval at Headingley TBF.
I don’t trust anyone at the club anymore. David Willey is leaving at the end of the season the club issued a statement that it was due to them not being able to match what Northants have offered.

Willey issued a counter statement giving the reason for his moving.

I have loved my life in Yorkshire, I have planted my roots and raised our young family here. Unfortunately the circumstances surrounding the recent events at the club have made my work environment unsettling. There are some great lads & fantastic players at Yorkshire and i hope the complications at the club will not take priority and overshadow their talents. The cricket and the current players seem to be secondary at the moment to repairing the clubs reputation. It certainly felt that way for me over the past 12 months. I play cricket because I love the game. I just want to play somewhere that cricket is the focus and where I feel valued on and off the field.

The comments made by Yorkshire around my contract discussions with the club are inaccurate.

I’d like to thank the players & staff who have helped me during my time at Yorkshire. Also, thank you to the fantastic support of Yorkshire fans.

I’d love to say farewell by winning the T20 for the first time at the club
How many other untruths are the members getting fed ?
That's another situation and one which I bow to your vaster knowledge, mate.

My biggest gripe by far is the as hoc way players are taken by the ECB for use in Test matches, ODI’s and t20 internationals. Already this season Yorkshire have lost Root, Bairstow, Fisher, Brook, Malan, Willey and Rashid of which 5 of these players honed their skills at Headingley with thousands of hours spent by YCCC coaching these players to become top in their respective games and then along comes the powers that be and take these players away thus constantly reducing Yorkshires chances of winning any silver ware. As members people have a right to see their home grown talent on a more regular basis but more often than not when they are available the ECB wrap them in cotton wool, what other sport would tolerate this ?

Add to the above ^ the hundred of thousands of pounds spent on coaching these players. It’s like football taking away Phillips, Meslier, Koch, Bamford, Raphinha, Llorente & Harrison & us having to replace them with U23 players. International breaks are awful but it’s international break every week of the cricket season.

Tom Kohler Cadmore ( TKC) is leaving YCCC at the end of the season to join Somerset he joins David Willey who is also leaving to join Northants. Both players are excellent in the white ball game but haven’t really done it in the red ball game. TKC is a lovely young man I’m on first name terms with, his dad Mick resigned as kit man after 16 members of staff were sacked by Lord Patel. There’s string rumours that two more players will join the exodus if I was a betting man I’d say Dom Bess & Dawid Malan. Sad days at Headingley & I for one won’t be renewing my membership again.

Have to say that England's run of over 5 in a Test Match is crazy as it is ridiculous. And damn good entertainment    Did feel sorry for Overton missing out on a Test century on debut; he thoroughly deserved one

It’s good seeing some of YCCC’s youngsters fielding for England as Ben Foakes has gone off with a bad back. What a wonderful experience for them, you could see in Harry Dukes face he was loving itk.

Joe Root wasn’t happy earlier as he dropped a simple catch in the slips not seen that side before.
