Anyone see the peregrine falcon over Elland Road tonight?
When we were 2-1 up v Chesterfield I became distracted by the wonderful sight of a peregrine falcon over Elland Road. Did anyone else see it? At one point it had a spat with a seagull. It also went under the east stand roof near the south east corner.

It's probably Ken Bates' familiar ...

They are an amazing site, had one hunting around my garden about a month ago, actually killed another bird and was feasting on my lawn at one stage. Was hanging around a few days but not seen it recently.
Rigger, Think if it was Ken Bates it would be a magpie.

We have them nesting in the city centre here in Nottingham. Fantastic to watch, I think they are the fastest creature on the planet.
Winner of the Europa League

Yes I saw it too. One flew over on Saturday too (well it was above south stand rather than over the pitch)
There is a pair around ER. Walking the dogs on ER car park about 8am Sunday morning saw two having tussles with three magpies. They were more brown speckled (so thought sparrowhawk) but small so probably falcons. That over ER last night had a falcon (as opposed to hawk) wing shape. Looking on RSPB, juveniles have brown markings, so its probably the same that flew over the ground?

We are Leeds, we have to believe our new players are good enough, encourage and support them and help them grow in to a team to be reckoned with. MoT
