Here is a good write up from the Telegraph about the World's great train journeys including the Orient Express and Rocky Mountaineer.

Off work today, so had a nice little ride out with Mrs WW to Cleveleys. Lovely little seaside town just north of Blackpool. Weather was glorious and had a spot of lunch in the Jolly Tar accompanied with a blonde real ale from the Titanic brewery.

Been to Montevideo but only on a day trip whilst on a cruise back from Antartica it was a decent enough city but if I'm honest we had a tour that took in the sights but it was all a bit Whistlestop. Sorry I can't help more.

Sorry to disappoint but all my South American trips were solely focussed on Colombia. And Mrs MW had hardly been outside Medellin before we met, let alone her home country!
Might have to take an interest in the Premier League now....

Saw the total solar eclipse in Oregon yesterday in perfect conditions. Nature at it's finest, utterly amazing and awe inspiring sight.

Nice one, mate !
I remember the big one here about 20 years ago - I was working at Pompey Uni and everyone was allowed outside for an hour or two to take it all in. As I worked for the Students' Union, we just closed all the offices but left the bar open :D
