I'll just use my debit card for most stuff and make a withdrawal from a cashpoint when I'm there.
Likewise, and have been doing so for years. It's so much more convenient and the exchange rate is virtually no different.
I withdrew cash at an ATM a couple of times in Tenerife last week and the rate was 1.14. The transaction/ withdrawal fee took it down to around 1.12, which is similar to buying euros in the UK.
Have been on a train down to London today. Me & Mrs PW are now sat on an A380 waiting to take off in about 5 mins to Hong Kong.
So I'll see you peeps later & will check in with you over the weekend.
A win in Norfolk on Satdee would be nice to start our holiday.
Au revoir.

Have a good one Pete
When you retire, you switch bosses - from the one that hired you, to the one that married you.

PW, my brother did his National Service in HK and my daughter worked there for 3 years several years ago. There is a road named 'Hennessy Road' in HK but has nothing to do with us! Have a great trip.

Mrs W and I loved our few days in HK last year. Amazing place of contrasts!
Afternoon from Kowloon Shangri La hotel.
Cloudy & overcast but 25°C & low humidity, so very pleasant indeed.
Just back from a tour of HK island, been on a sampan trip round the harbour, ride up The Peak on it's cable car & had a browse round Stanley market.
All fascinating places and spectacular views from The Peak. Enjoying HK very much so far.
Been to see the big Buddha on Lantau Island today.
Very impressive, have had a great day & have sweltered in 32°c+!!
Have prayed for some divine intervention for Lufc, hope it works?
