We have tickets for the panto in Worthing tomorrow with our daughter and grandkids, I phoned her today to say we were pulling out sadly due to Covid, just didn`t feel right about going.

Just seen a bloke on a TV auction programme sell a gold watch for £800, but he only got £656 after auction fees. Since the buyer will also have paid auction fees the auction house has made about £300 for selling an £800 watch.

Mrs SW came out of her covid quarantine at the weekend so we headed south yesterday to see the grandson, stayed the night and just got back now.

I can confirm playing with a 18 month child is tiring, taught him to shout goal when Leeds scored :D

Compton played for Arsenal as well (I think) so is it something along those lines? All played professional/professional standard football as well as County Cricket?

They did indeed all play professional football but a lot of others did especially pre-war but these 5 did something in their football career, something CB Fry almost did.
