Thanks to all of you for concerns and support
That's brilliant, MW. It must be an almighty relief.
Ah thanks Sniff. TBH my overriding feeling is that I was pretty confident it would have a good outcome from the start based on the conversations I had with experienced, senior staff early after the diagnosis. The moment when I was bricking myself was after the whole-body bone scan to determine if the cancer had spread in my body. That was the relief moment!
I've got another appointment with oncology next Monday when I shall be asking the question 'am I cured?'
Might have to take an interest in the Premier League now....

I was at the hospital today for check ups on my heart issue. Have been under the assumption for the past 18 years that I had Atrial Fibrilation. Specialist today told me he thinks its Supraventricular Tachycardia. (big score in Scrabble). In which case my medication is wrong. He is changing beta blockers and also doesn't think I need to be on Warfarin, but he has told me to keep on taking Warfarin for the time being. Am a bit apprehensive about coming off Warfarin as I had two mates who refused to go on Warfarin and both died from strokes.
I used to get 8 or 10 heart episodes a year. (Except, at the end of last year, I had 3 episodes in 10 days). Each one wipes me out for three days. Since the new guy (above) changed my medication at the end of January, I haven't had a single episode. Owe him a beer or three.
Wow
That's fantastic news !
That is great news John
Our previous GP - who was a lovely man with some great skills - retired and through a series of coincidences we ended up with a new, younger GP who, thankfully, was onto the possibility of prostate cancer straight away.
She's Asian so I don't think the offer of a few beers would be well received.....

Our grandson has started school again today just 3 days a week at the moment & he has 2 of his good friends in the same ‘pod’ as him. Will FaceTime him later as apparently he was very excited this morning.

Good on him, young children seem to be mostly immune from the virus and need to be at school. It's being one thing our country has been saying since it started. Education is so important for our young ones.
Owners come and go but Leeds United will be there forever, for the fans - keep Marching on Together.
Nice thought by our neighbour, he's organised a social distancing afternoon get together for everyone at the bottom of our cul de sac next Sunday (weather permitting).
It's to celebrate Cathy and myself wedding anniversary.
Plan is to use two adjacent gardens with 6 people in each. Everyone to bring their own table, chairs, food and wine.

That’s a great gesture SW, can’t believe it’s your wedding anniversary already though

Yes official date is Monday when we will do our own thing. But Sunday seems good with everyone so looking forward to it.
