Ironically, for an American company, I weighed it and the box came to just over 1lb.

They really do love their poundcake over there, don't they ??

Stingy *****.
But was it nice?

I haven't even opened it.
I'm type 2 diabetic.
The driver told me what it was.

I'll give it to Jeanna but she's not really into cake so it might end up going to the cat :D

Just a thought, but a cake shop in Leeds gave all their left over cakes to a local care home to cheer them all up as they couldn’t see their families etc.

It would've been better if they'd given everyone's cake to care homes. I think we all would've been happier with that.

One thing I didn't mention was the driver said one of his colleagues in London died a couple of months ago of Covid having been on the frontline from the off.

.. and they give us cake ?
Imagine how his mates feel ??

As you know the first 2 answers in The Telegraph crossword are a play on words this morning I looked at them for ages before the penny dropped. The answers are Perry & Feral. Image

Yes, I was a bit confused, decided on 'peripheral'.
