Tracey's young lad just turned 16 was playing for Irish league side Ballymena Uniteds under 18's He has now played the last 5 games for the under 20s (big fellas with tattoos and beards kicking lumps out of him ) his words.
Played full game last night in 2-0 loss to Linfield u20s. Plays midfield, has a great engine (should do at 16) makes room for himself on the ball and has an eye for a pass. Has been told to keep playing as he is and he should make first team side in the future........ can't wipe smile of his face.

Great stuff !
Hope he goes all the way.

The son of a mate of mine is at Bournemouth. The mate used to be the keeper in our Sunday league team and I played with him for about 15 years and was excellent for that level, I mean real quality. His son, thankfully, is about six two and still only 18 and is about fourth or fifth choice at the club, playing mostly for the 18s up till now but he's been loaned out a couple of times too, to Salisbury and I think Totton.

Once we stopped playing, I'd see his dad and he always looked knackered and he'd usually explain "I've been driving all over !" as he'd take him to training in Bournemouth (from Southampton) then to away games as well, two, three and four nights a week.
It's well worth it when they get this far though and my mate is so, so proud of him.

Long way to go John, we here in Norn Iron have a habit of messing up lol Drink, women and friends all all ahead for him. Good thing though is so far he's been pretty sensible and everything revolves around being fit.

Looking forward to a nice bottle of Red Wine tonight, even better if its celebrating a Leeds victory.

Me and (soon to be) Mrs SW have just completed a dry February, not a drop of alcohol has passed our lips.

Still if its something you've got to do picking a 28 day month isn't such a bad idea ;)

I'm into my 15th month without a drop ..

I don't miss it in terms of needing a drink as I was always only ever a social drinker, but I don't see as much as some of my friends as I used to, mainly because it's pretty boring watching them get drunker and drunker.
The solution is to go out much later, drive to wherever they are about half ten and then hit the late night bar with them for a spot of dancing and socialising. When I see them then they're already half-cut so I don't get bored, which I tend to do if I meet them at 8pm for example.

Jeanna, like most women, loves a boogie and actually so do I but being a music snob and a DJ I'm picky about what I'll dance to. Throw in the self-consciousness of being a sober 52-year old who's trying to "move like Jagger" it's all a bit of a nightmare at the moment and I still feel a bit stiff when I get out there .. and I don't mean in my joints :wtf:

I've not had to call them for a couple of years (it also went up last year).

Phoned them and told them not to bother renewing when my policy ends in March.

They immediately said they could drop the cost to even less than I was paying last year.

Told them they should have thought of customer loyalty and offered that in the first place.

Now I'm with Corgi, cheaper and include much more.

Just hate how company's try to mug loyal customers.
Have just had our home & contents insurance renewal quote. A rise of £90 for the year including a £30 renewal fee. When are these company's going to learn about loyalty. Within 15m on MSupermarket we have saved £150 on the policy. That's a massive amount of savings for us. The robbing bstds

We have, literally just now, transferred our Buildings and Contents insurers for a massive saving of £308.75 .

I worked in the insurance industry for 28 years, reaching director level, and still received a staff discount from where I worked for all that time since my retirement. However, they have now sold the personal lines aspect of the business to another broker.

The renewal premium shot up with the new broker, despite the fact it was the same insurer, so clearly they have increased their commission levels. I rang them to tell them about the alternative quotation I had got, and they tried to waffle their way through blaming the ‘Ogden Ruling’ (she clearly didn’t know who I was and/or my experience in the industry).

We have moved, but it did cross my mind how many people will just renew based on what I was being told.
