#Asking for a friend
Mrs SW and myself disagree on this and I'm with the cone which is clearly correct
Think we had a thread a year ago or so on this very subject.

Proper posh me
At our wedding as part of my speech I wrote a long poem about our life together and one verse touched this very subject.
"Then there are arguments,
But we only ever have the one,
That's when I fancy a scone,
And she calls it a S-con."

gone here, think you'd get looked at over here if you used the cone version.
On that subject when over in England for the first time many moons ago I was asked at the bar what I wanted to drink, I replied "Vodka and white please." There was a long silence and confused look from the barman.
The local members will get this one and possibly Corky and co
Also asked if they had soda and potato bread at breakfast in the hotel..... same result.
