My daughter and boyfriend are supposedly flying out to Barcelona first thing tomorrow morning, the Mrs is holding me back from stopping them from going.

My youngest lad who's currently living & working over in Oz, has a Spanish girlfriend who is originally from Barcelona.
She/they are currently, frantically, trying to contact her family, who mainly still live in and around Barcelona to check they're not caught up in this atrocity.
Another truly awful event!

Mrs W and I stopped in a hotel on Las Ramblas a couple of years ago and yes, it does get very busy of an evening with loads of people walking along down to the sea and back. It really hits you when these attacks hit places where you've been recently. The more these idiots do these things the less the world will value their beliefs.

Wonder if this is terrorist driven ?
Police in Finland say they have shot a man who reportedly stabbed several people in the south-western city of Turku.
The man has been taken into custody after being shot in the leg, police say.
The police have warned people to stay away from the city centre.
The incident reportedly took place in the Puutori-Market Square area. One image showed a body lying on the ground. The body had been covered.
But there has been no official confirmation of casualties.
A tweet from South-West Finland police at 16:40 local time (13:40 GMT) read: "Several people stabbed in central Turku. People are requested to avoid the city centre."

I would say so. I read somewhere the Finnish police were tightening security at Airports and on the railways.

It appears yesterday unsuccessful attack in SW London was a nail bomb & the targets were school kids. They've arrested the guy responsible at Dover, it seems they know who all these guys are so why not deport them before more people die.
