It's our legal system, can't charge or prosecute without evidence / proof. Always defended that basic thought although many times it frustrated me. However I'm with you on this, deport suspects and let them fight a legal battle to get back in. Wrong in many ways but I'm past that now.

At least two people have been killed and 24 others wounded in a mass shooting at a Las Vegas concert.
A gunman opened fire at an open-air country music festival at the Mandalay Bay Hotel on the city's strip.
Hundreds of people fled the scene and the sound of what appeared to be prolonged automatic gunfire could be heard on videos posted on social media.
Police said a suspect "was down". There are reports of at least one other incident on the Las Vegas strip

Its a worrying trend that its public events that seem to becoming the targets, thoughts with those effected.

Daughter was there last week, luckily they've moved over to Orlando now. A mate & his lass are there but posted on Facebook that they're alright but the whole strip is on lock down. Not sure whether it terrorist related or not or some sick individual.

It appears that the shooter was a local resident apparently over 100 round fired from a 32nd floor. 20 dead so far.

You never know with it being in Vegas whether it's someone who has lost a fortune. The Gunman has been named as 64yr old Stephen Paddock.

50 dead.

That must've been some weapon he was using.
How can so many die from one shooter ??

They haven't stated what type of gun it was but I'm guessing an assault rifle.

Even given the firepower available from one, to kill so many with one gun is staggering ..

What a screwed up country. Vegas needs to tighten it's lax gun-laws but it's time the US as a whole changed their way of thinking.
I know it's in the constitution, but these things can be amended. That's why they have amendments FFS !

As Rigger says reports now of over 50 dead, 200 injured of which 14 critical. What a sick world we live in.

Agree with Rigger about the gun laws, assuming this was a legally owned weapon. Even if they decide to keep firearms legal they should be limited to basic guns and not stuff that can do this sort of damage.
Can't stop nutters they will find some thing to kill with (knife, car, bomb, gun, etc) but you need to find ways of making it hard for them to carry out this scale of attack.

Sad world.
