Re: Chuffing heck
Arctic weather front on the way it seems, I say bring it on it's got to be better than the dark, wet, grey conditions when I look out of my window this morning.

Much warmer here today - didn't need to scrape my car this morning

Please tell me "to make me feel better" that you needed your umbrella though.rigger wrote:Much warmer here today - didn't need to scrape my car this morning

No, not at all.
Yesterday was decidedly odd in that it remained foggy ALL DAY LONG
It was like living in that scene with the Nowhere Man in Yellow Submarine ..
Today it's very mild, overcast but with no wind and no rain at all. Just a blank, still, dead kind of day.

Keep the weather good in Southampton as I'm planning a trip there 21-24 April not too for how long yet.

Not exactly the middle of nowhere but it's nowhere near the city, mate.
There are places you can go out there, though - just depends what you want to do. If you want to get into town for a night out, the taxi back will be £20+.
There's a very nice hotel just up the road called the Botley Grange which has a spa attached, so I don't know if the wife is coming too but I'd suggest that if you're coming down as a couple.
You're kinda stuck between two villages : West End and Botley.
Once you're in Botley there's three or four nice pubs and a handful of restaurants to choose from. One of the pubs - The Bugle - is a good live music venue so I would suggest going there if it's a Saturday night stopover. Contact them first to see who's playing and take it from there - I might even come over and meet up with you
