Saw at least 3 people at it on twitter etc, I said exactly the same thing to Tracey, morons they are.Barlow Boy wrote:Glad to hear you're ok WK.
Not sure if anyone saw the absolute idiot who decided to go for a swim, in what was clearly terrible weather with very high waves. No doubt he would have wanted rescuing if he got into trouble, putting other individuals in danger.
Absolute clown

Have the winds calmed down in Ireland now ? Think we've been lucky here in the East Midlands.

Yeah all calm now. TBH I don't think we actually got it as bad as expected and the guys down south had it worse.NottinghamWhite wrote:Have the winds calmed down in Ireland now ? Think we've been lucky here in the East Midlands.

It's a beautiful sunny calm day here today. Yesterday was rough but having spoken to family and neighbours, most feel that storm Darwin on 2014 was worse. That really only affected Cork, Kerry and Limerick but it was frigtheningly distructive. Tens of thousands of trees were knocked and quite a bit of structural damage done. Any weak, old or rotten trees were taken out then so any storm since only knocks a few trees. The rest are strong enough and storm hardened enough to survive.Davycc wrote:Yeah all calm now. Still any storm like yesterday's are a worry and you're always happy to see the back of them. People are getting better prepared for these now that they seem to be more common. Except for the numpties that insist on their daily swim "no matter what" and the morons that think these are spectator sports to be viewed as close up as possible. Some blatantly ignored police requests to go home. I wouldn't waste any emergency service time or lives pulling their likes out of trouble if they recklessly go against officials advice, like some did yesterday.

Yeah we're having work done on our roof today, at least there's no wind here today. Might probably rain though.

Dull rainy day here in Berkshire, ideal weather for the funeral I had to go to.
