Sports you don't get

Post by NottinghamWhite »

What sports no matter how many times you watch them still leave you reaching from the TV remote. I'll start rugby league or union really don't like it it's all stops & starts. Next ;)

Baseball, every time i go to the States it's on in most of the bars and bores me.
Teams play each other over and over again and the result of each match becomes almost pointless.

Formula 1 just what is so fascinating watching a car go around a track 50+ times ? Sorry I know it has huge appeal but I've never enjoyed it and can't see I ever will.

Don't get, as in understand ?
Netball
Baseball

Don't get, as in why is it so popular ?
F1
Rugby
Cricket
Gridiron
Handball
Tennis
.. most of 'em actually.

It's probably easier to say I love football, enjoy playing or watching snooker and golf though rarely actually do either of them.

Don't float my boat either. The daughter & son in law am really into it & have watched GP's in Monaco, Canada, USA, Belguim & go every year to the British GP.

American football is another one that I can't get into.

All winter sports - ice skating, skiing etc.,
Hockey
Tennis
Horse racing
Basketball
All water sports
Wrestling

This is from a 'spectator' view. Always enjoyed playing Tennis and Basketball, just can't watch it.
I once played against Don Revie.

Not a formula1 fan either. Bores the crap out of me.

Don't like the Americanised Wrestling, although I did used to enjoy the eighties stuff on a sat afternoon. I was a kid then.

Not a massive Golf fan tbh. Although I would love to play it for a living. No drug testing, what a life.

Horse racing doesn't float my boat either, I suppose that's because I don't bet on them.
