Steak pie with beans??
Is that sort of thing not done in the pie capital of the UK Al :D
Certainly not. Would have to be peas or carrots . :D

Beans would be with a cheese and onion pie/pasties.
Right, taken your advice Al.

Tonight, it’s Pukka Steak & Kidney Pie, Roast Potatoes, Peas, Carrots, Cabbage, Yorkshire Puds and Gravy .
That's more like it.

Consider yourself educated by someone in the pie capital of the world. :D

Going to an icehockey match tonight. On the menu roast pork, cola barbeque sauce and rosemary potatoes. A large glass of red. And a few beers to follow...

Somebody gave me a frozen turkey several weeks ago, been in the freezer at work until two days ago, freezer's gone, been in the boot of my car for 2 days, temps have been 30's/40's,should be just about right so later today going to roast it. Only wife and myself so I guess we will give most of it away, not the bones though, they are for soup.
My Dad used to make a turkey soup several days after Christmas every year and it has also become one of my favorites. Every time I make it I remember my Father, listening to Bing Crosby, wouldn't let anybody near the stove.

Daughter and hubby are having a Chinese tonight so are picking up one for us. Sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style, fillet steak in black pepper sauce, roast pork and bean sprouts and a special fried rice.

Happy birthday Davy. Will raise a pint of London Pride when I have my fish & chips with mushy peas. (From the chippy)
