Down here we are lucky to have Turners Pies which are a national pie winner, I`ve just been to get some for tea and the individual pies have all sold out so bought a family sized one, we will be having fresh vegetables with it Mmmmm.

Wiener Schnitzel (you guessed it, 'from Lidl'), chips and peas. A few glasses of Australian Shiraz-Cabernet to wash it down.
Might have to take an interest in the Premier League now....

Having a walk into town, pint in pub first (can't eat on an empty stomach) then to local restaurant. Not sure what I'll be having often something off the specials board. Bottle of Red to wash it down.

Went out early and ended up eating in Turkish Restaurant. Had a starter of Spicy Turkish Sausage followed with Chicken in a mushroom sauce (with mash and veg) very nice. A Chilean Merlot to wash it down.

Back home for 8-30pm May crack open another bottle. ;)

Sounds good to me SW! Sucuk is the spicy sausage, it features in Middle Eastern cuisine as well, one of my favourites....

Do they have Turkish wine? Yakut is a particularly good red.

Hope you're enjoying the second bottle

We enjoyed Chinese takeaway tonight:

- Salt and pepper prawns: wonderful! but those sneaky green chillis were SPICY
- Szechuan crispy beef: our place does this particularly well
- Chow mein with vegetables: the more bean sprouts the better!

Anyone else notice this? We try to avoid ordering on a weekend night because everyone else does and it seems like they rush the cooking and it doesn't taste as good. At the moment the students are away and people are on holiday so it tasted good!
