Nothing very Cordon Bleu here tonight ........ sausage, mash and gurravy ........ sometimes, simple is good ......... will be washed down with a bottle of Ilkley Pale Ale.

Might not be Gordon Blue but that’s the dinner of champions are you having mushy peas as well ? We had sausages the other night as part of a roast dinner and went down very well here indeed.

Not very Yorkshire, I admit, but rather than mushy peas, just a sprinkling of petit pois, so just a wee bit cordon bleu, n'est-ce pas?

Just finished making a lasagne for tonight. Will be served with a salad and coleslaw.

Lamb steaks, roast potatoes, carrot and swede, runner beans and peas. Lots of gravy and mint sauce.

The steaks were really tough which was a real shame as the rest of the meal was lovely. Spaghetti Bolognaise tonight which we’ve just cooked, like my meals to sit for a few hours allowing things to mix.
