One thing I have noticed though, it comes with EITHER egg or pineapple, why not both ?
Staying at a Premier Inn in October with a Beefeater pub attached and I'm almost certain they are one chain that give you both

Always have both egg & pineapple with gammon. Many years ago living in Torquay we supplemented our income taking in foreign students. Italian ones were horrified at the thought of having any fruit with meat. When visiting South Africa we were shocked when they had marmalade with their bacon & egg

Talking of curries we are staying 5 nights in Taunton next week & are booked into http://www.guddiandgikki.co.uk on Tuesday with another 8 who’ll be at the cricket & Thursday night just the two of us. The cuisine is Thali & honestly it’s the best food we’ve had anywhere. If your looking for crisp white table cloths & crystal glasses then this isn’t the place to go :D

Not bothered with curries if I'm honest but Mrs SW loves them.
Anyway our local cafe does monthly theme nights and next one is Indian and we are booked to go.

Home cooked tonight but yes we have a couple in town.
Best one in my opinion has just reopened totally refurbed after some nutter petrol bombed it a few month back.
Fortunately the only person injured was the idiot himself who got badly burned after he accidently set his jeans on fire.

I’m not a fan of fruit with meat unless it’s say a bitter orange sauce with duck as it cuts through the richness of the meat, I think that fruit sauces should be on the tart side. It’s a main not a dessert.
Back to gammon, I always make a parsley and English mustard sauce to go with mine with cabbage sautéed with onions and sage and quality mash.
