I saw him a couple of years before that, I'd guess.
I don't know if he was fragile then - just old and I felt sorry for him for being such a curmudgeon.

Now there's a band .. didn't know they were still going, though.

Peter Green, eh ?
Saw him live a few years back - what a miserable git. He gives Van Morrison a run for his money ..
Great guitarist, terrible people person. He slagged his band off once he'd sent them from the stage so he could play some "proper music" on his own.
That's just disrespectful, no matter how much of a virtuoso you are.
Kansas had a new album out in 2016 called The Prelude Implicit which this new live album has songs from and also the whole of their 1976 Leftoverture album is on the other cd.

Not sure how many of the original line up are left in this incarnation of Kansas.

Watched that Documentary on Prince the other night. Whilst not a fan in general, I can appreciate some of his songs. But crikey , what a performer and artist he was. Included a private performance for Roman Abramovich. How the top 1% live eh! Them pills he OD on fentanyl, reportedly 100 times more potent than Heroine.

Recently watched 2017's "Music Legends We Lost" on Sky Arts.... George Michael, Chuck Berry, Glen Campbell, Tom Petty, Chester Bennington, Malcolm Young, Fats Domino, Chris Cornell, Jaki Liebezeit.... 5-15 mins on each, something for everyone.

Just bought McVicar the soundtrack to the film of the same name starring Roger Daltry as John McVicar.

Saw the film in the early 80s when it came out.

Well worth seeing.

I sat for nearly 3 hours last night with headphones on listening too..... Popular classical music... I went through a phase when CD's first came out, my first was The Journey, The very best of Donna Summer, then Queen Greatest Hits and Madonna True Blue then for some strange reason I bought loads of classical and western film them tunes ....

No wonder I lost friends.

I love classical.
Not sure about the "popular" tag though - I really like Katchachurian, Satie and Shostakovich :)
