Loved him as a player for England when I was growing up.

Seriously good deep play-maker and this is one of my favourite ever goals :

Highly original broadcaster too, with a lovely voice and a fantastic turn of phrase.
Also the voice of Tango back in the day, when advertising could be genuinely original and funnier than most of the shows on TV.

RIP Mr Wilkins :(
You'll be sadly missed.

My son in law worked at Crystal Palace, under Simon Jordan & has always said he was the nicest bloke he had met, despite the 2 teams he played for.

I like to think of him as a Milanese, mate - forget those other two outfits :)

Great midfield player and scored some good goals. Will never forget the outrageous sending off in the 1986 World Cup.

By all accounts a really nice guy with time for everyone. The football family has lost one of its own.

Just been reading that his Dad played for us in 1949.
Checked on our history section & he played 3 games apparently.

Graham, I think - centre-half if I recall correctly ?
He had a decent career in the lower leagues and ended up coaching.
