This is the post that seems to have started this off. As soon as I find this Sniffer character I'll give him a piece of my mind. ;)

I'm sorry it upset you, CW, but, as I said to Rigger, it wasn't aimed at anyone on here. I appreciate I could have come across as a bit of a pedant or a know-all which is why I took the p155 out of myself in a later post.

MOT
Hey Sniffer, honestly this wasn't the post that started it off mate, It's just a general thing i was picking up on. As I've said earlier i wasn't pointing the finger at anyone in particular, Just something that does crop up from time to time that I see. I understand wholeheartedly what the guys are trying to do and its commendable but somewhat feels to me like its belittle-ling some members at times. I do feel it too when people point it out like as is its a teacher student kind of thing. It's a personal thing for me and i am touchy with it. This is no reflection on anyone in particular just something i have observed over a period of time.

When i see something it's like a pet peeve..... I have to say it otherwise it blows into something worse...... Language to me means a lot and i too correct people on it but i do it in a more subtle way. My wife and I have disagreements for instance about British English and American English all the time because she was raised with the American English and i was raised with British English.

Ah well. Moving on, mate. :)

Big pet peeve: having to scroll down the BBC Sport Football page for an eternity before you get to the Championship. Makes my blood boil!
Hopefully, of course, that won't be a problem next season. :D

Even worse if you want to look at the Scottish leagues! They have moved them way down the list.

Came across this pet peeve twice today:

People in cars in traffic queues, with music so loud your car vibrates!

I will add people driving using their mobile phones or evern worse driving with their knees whilst eating their brekkie cereal!
Owners come and go but Leeds United will be there forever, for the fans - keep Marching on Together.
