Anyone have any Pest trouble.
Just had a issue with a Wasp Nest, somewhere in a wall cavity.
Noticed them getting in under a roof tile and some where emerging in a kitchen cupboard.
A mate who lives out in the sticks and often deals with them gave me some powder to put by their route into the nest.
Seems to have done the trick still getting the odd drowsy one but think nearly all gone now.
Makes a change from the flying ants we usually get each year.
A friend recently got a Rat in the house, took him ages to catch it.
Anyone else have anny Pest issues to tell us about ?

Keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you.
Re: Pests
Not since I put clear sealant around every inch of skirting in my flat, no. I've got a two floor, three bedroom place three flights up so rarely get anything other than spiders. Or did rarely get. Can't stand the arachnids but now they can't get in, effectively. The only thing I see occasionally is a slug trail on my balcony but if the buggers are that determined to climb the sixty odd feet to enjoy the view up there I say let them enjoy it

Re: Pests
Slugs horrible things at one time we had issue with them getting under the floor boards (via the Air Bricks). Occasionally one would find its way into the house (bungalow actually).
We had a the drive, paths and Patio done with resin and they don't seem to like to cross it so the problem got eliminated.

Re: Pests
I can hear pigeons in the eaves sometimes.
When they get a bit broody it's quite funny, but not as funny as when my neighbours do.
They fight a lot too, but once they make up I can usually expect fifteen minutes of the headboard banging against the wall. When it's hot and the windows are open it's almost pornographic
They're sex pests, I suppose

Thought you would have written about Jehovah's wintnesses, given the thread titlerigger wrote:Not since I put clear sealant around every inch of skirting in my flat, no. Might have to take an interest in the Premier League now....
Re: Pests
Yes. Moths. Carpet and clothes moths. An absolute plague of the little blighters. I've got bald patches in the carpets and I've just seen one flying around the base of the wardrobe. Sprays, balls, traps and regular vacuuming keeps some control over them but it's never ending.

Re: Pests
Depends on your definition of pests I suppose.
I’ve posted before, how we live in the sticks and get badgers, foxes and deer in the garden. Many would call badgers and foxes pests, but we wouldn’t, and don’t hide the fact we put the odd bit of food out for the badgers as do most of the villagers.
Unfortunately, with bits of food hanging around come rats, I WILL NOT kill anything, and we just opened the garage door up and off he toddled.
Bloody love where we live
