My neighbours given me the Stieg Larsson trilogy The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest. Should keep me busy during lockdown.

If the books, which nearly always are as good as the movies you’re in for a treat.

Just finished The Biggest Twitch a fascinating book on a couple who want to break the world record to see the most number of bird species in a calendar year. It’s really a travelogue of their experiences such as getting robbed in a remote area of Canada to very close meetings with tigers & rhinos in Northern India. I love their determination despite having to stay in some dodgy accommodation, dodgy food, dodgy roads & dodgy drivers. Not everything is nice as they get bitten by mosquitos, driven to distraction by sweat bees, eaten by leeches & covered in flies in Oz. Not sure what their budget was but money obviously becomes tight & this adds to the drama. Made a real change from my normal reading. Anyone that enjoys travel will enjoy this book in my opinion.
