Some of the most random and unusual lyrics - very hard to remember the order in which to sing them

A week is long time in Vegas 3 or 4 days is enough.

Have been 3 times in last 10 years but each time for 2 or 3 nights at end of a trip elsewhere.
Got a coach to catch now but will add a few suggestions later. Think it was Rigger tha mentioned the Grand Canyon would definitely plan a day trip there.

Mrs SW not been and wants to so will be going at some stage I think.

Grand Canyon.

Whatever you do, get there early .. and I mean early.
We were there at 4am to watch the sun come up and as it rose slowly into the sky, each new strata of rock was revealed in glorious technicolour.
We took a flask of coffee but no food and were starving by the time we left around 8am.
There's a McD's right outside the gates of the Canyon park and for breakfast I had thin strips of steak in a buttered bagel with cheese on top - the best Maccy Dee I ever tasted

Went a few times when I lived in Houston during the mid-90's for trade shows.

First thing I noticed was the much slower pace of life compared to my then home city. It's perhaps the ultimate American 'over-the-top' place with its extravagant buildings and artefacts, but, at the end of the day, it's an artificial place built in the middle of the desert. It has to offer free drinks, gambling and certain other temptations in order for people to go there.

Unless it's changed massively there are other places in North America that are more worthy of a few days visit if you're not into gambling.

We visited Vegas as part of a coach tour down the west cost that started in San Diego finishing in LA. To be honest 2 days was enough for us we were glad to leave. My daughter & husband love it there it’s horses for courses. The Hoover Dam & Grand Canyon are well worth visiting, look in the sky for Californian Condor the worlds largest bird.

Vegas is much better after dark, so use the days to get out and about if you can (places like Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, but also some good outlet malls too). Also indulge in an all you can eat buffet, look to see if some of the large hotel/casinos have exhibitions on (when we went one had a display of sporting trophies, Superbowl trophy, Stanley Cup, and many others, all US of course but interesting to see nevertheless) and dont miss the fountains at Bellagio.

My mate and his family are staying at Bellagio but he's considerably richer than me, to kind of quote Harry Enfield

Freemont Street it's the old town but the light show is spectacular. Think it's every hour on the hour I saw the Queen tribute but it's pot luck.
If staying on the strip get taxi there as walking is through iffy areas.

Visiting all the hotels on the strip is worthwhile.

Stratosphere hotel at North end of strip, highest building west of the mississippi worth going up for the views both night and day.
Also three scary rides on top if you are an adrenalin junkie.

Plenty of shows we did the rat pack seemed right thing for Vegas.

Bellagio dancing fountains are worth a look not sure timings think it's once each night.

Don't forget the pirate ship show !
